Some cake?

Hi!

Sometimes it is nice to do something else than a card. This time I have created a little cake box. I can open it and put something in it before giving it away.  The template can be found here: template
and it was a lot more easy to do than it looks!

Decorated with ek success little retro punch and pearl maker.

Added some gold pearls. They are gorgeous, in right place and not to many!
I have written Grattis, which means congratulations!

The box can be open! Hm, maybe shoud have taken a picture from the other side?! :)

Have a great day!

Birthday card for the big 40!

Hi!

Today I have created a birthday card for a woman who turns 40 soon. I have distressed the edges, the swirls have embossing on them (white) and the lilies I have created and the blue flowers are from Prima. This lady called Effie is from Sassy Studio Designs. I must admit I haven´t read the book where she is from, called the Hunger Games. I am not sure what the name will be when translated, but after reading what everyone thinks about it, I guess it is worth reading? :)

I have distressed the edges and used black sooth - distress ink on them. The tag is from a magnolia die. Used both half pearls and Pearl Maker on the card. And voila:

May flowers!

Hi!

Over at Scrapper´s Delights there is a new challenge with the name May flowers! Check it out here.
Flowers is something I love and usually have on my cards (one or two cards for men that don´t have any!)

For this card I have used Dragonfly Pixie.

Most of the details is made by me on this card. Flowers, pin and ticket. It was fun to do more and use less bought items.

My suitcase

Hi!

Vintage isn´t normaly my thing, but after being sick so long time and we have taken turns in my family, so I felt I had to do something out of my normal range. For therapy. There isn´t any better therapy than to cut in papers!! And to color images ofcourse! The tutorial I have used is found in Magnolia Ink magazine nr 3 2011. It is Debbie who created this one. I followed it very precise in the begining, but some how the messures didn´t work for me, so I had to change some things. And I thought the chain she had hanging down would hold the suitcase together, but it didn´t so if I do it again some time I will think out something different. And I wanted 2 stripes as a handle (instead of 1), to be able to carrie it around (read my daughter here!). But I would like to thank Debbie for sharing! It was sooo relaxing doing this suitcase, even if it took a long time. Or maybe just because.

The 2 stamps from the same serie from Scrapper´s Delights is called Rose Petal digi 1 and Rose Petal digi 3. Rose Petal digi 1 is offered as a freebie so go here and grab here while you can!

My dies are from spellbinders and from Magnolia.

I used a lot of Tim Holtz products. The tickets are from him. The beautiful pearl. All distressed edges and the hole decorative paper is filled with Antique Linen!

This pin is a vintage pin I have created.

Sassy Studio Designs

Hi!

Today I have created a card with Queen Gorgo 300 Spartan from Sassy Studio Designs. She is so beautiful and strong and I feelt she had a story to tell, therefor the ticket from TH. The blue beautiful flowers are from Prima. She is colored with Promarkers and I used antique linen from TH around the edges on her. It really gives a soft nice feeling, instead of black soot that I normaly use.
